My commitment to INAHTA is driven by a strong conviction about the unique role the network plays in the global HTA landscape. As the only independent international network of public HTA agencies, INAHTA provides a unique platform for information exchange, mutual learning and collective reflection among public HTA agencies.
I fully support the ambition of the INAHTA 2024–2027 strategic plan to reinforce collaboration and consolidate INAHTA’s role as the leader for scientific exchange and capacity building among public HTA agencies.
In a context where HTA agencies face increasingly complex and often similar challenges, I am convinced that INAHTA has a key role to play in facilitating joint reflection, pooling expertise and promoting high-quality practices worldwide, while fully respecting differences in national contexts, resources and priorities.
To this end, I see INAHTA’s Scientific Programme and different learning groups as key drivers for advancing HTA practice and impact within member agencies. They provide an essential space for cross-agency exchange on emerging methodological and strategic issues, and for the sharing of concrete experiences and solutions developed by agencies. I would be very pleased to continue working on further developing and promoting these activities, with a view to maximising mutual learning while avoiding duplication of effort across agencies.
In parallel, I believe it is important for INAHTA to regularly review its existing tools, products and modes of collaboration, in order to assess their continued relevance and identify where updates or new developments are needed.
More broadly, I believe that INAHTA should, whenever appropriate, serve as the collective voice of public HTA agencies by representing and advocating for their perspectives on methodological and strategic issues of shared importance. By doing so, the network can further strengthen HTA practices globally, while remaining firmly anchored in its public service mission.
It has been a great honour to contribute to INAHTA in the past three years, and I am delighted to continue this work as Vice-Chair, further strengthening my engagement with the network and helping translate INAHTA’s strategic priorities into concrete and impactful actions in the years ahead.
