INAHTA Board Director 2023-2025
HAS, France

I am a Pharmacist with over ten years’ experience in HTA, both on national and international level. My fields of expertise include the assessment of medical procedures and diagnostic tests. I have also participated in EUnetHTA Joint action 1, 2 and 3 projects, and have notably coordinated EUnetHTA activities related to real world data (RWD) from 2016 until 2020.

Rich of several year experience with EUnetHTA, I truly believe in and fully support the idea of enhancing collaboration among HTA agencies around the world. INAHTA provides a unique platform for this, being the only network of public agencies from several continents.

In this time of growing HTA activities, I believe it is more important than ever to avoid unnecessary duplication of work . Even though there might be national differences, the core of the HTA process – and especially the one of medical procedures – is based on common international standards, which makes therefore room for cooperation and information sharing. That is why I find it crucial to be informed about the work of other HTA agencies in a timely manner and to exchange on results, or even uptake the existing HTA, in order to reduce redundancies and optimize the use of often limited resources. INAHTA can play an important role in achieving this, by enhancing networking among its members but also by raising awareness of and further promoting the use of its International HTA database.

Another important area that could benefit from international exchanges is that of reflexions on methodological or procedural questions. HTA of innovative technologies, HTA of diagnostic technologies using artificial intelligence, how to assess the environmental impact or how to best involve clinicians and patients in the HTA process are just some of the questions we are facing in common and for which it is very important to continue to exchange views and receive mutual support, on a global level. Cooperation on developing standards  and  procedures  is important not only for the sake of knowledge exchange and continuous learning but also in order to facilitate the above-mentioned sharing of HTA results. I believe INAHTA is the right environment for such exchanges.

I am therefore very pleased and honoured to join the INAHTA Board of Directors, and I am looking forward to all the opportunities for international collaboration that INAHTA offers!
