INAHTA Director (2026-2027)
G-BA, Germany
Throughout my career in HTA, the importance of international collaboration has grown. Beyond the Annual Congress, joint activities such as learning groups, webinars, exchanges with other organisations, including GIN, and the development of the strategic plan take place throughout the year. During my previous term on the INAHTA Board, for example, the position statement process was introduced, contributing significantly to mutual exchange among HTA agencies worldwide and fostering a common understanding of important topics within the field of HTA.
I am keen to contribute to this collaboration, especially with regard to the scientific activities planned for the coming term. I am currently active in the Environmental Sustainability Learning Group, which has already produced a White Paper.
In addition, I believe that the global perspective on Health Technology Assessment will become increasingly important as nationalism and regional conflicts emerge in many parts of the world. Sound scientific methodology and the pursuit of effective, efficient, and sustainable healthcare should not stop at national borders, and INAHTA should counter these challenges through global collaboration. I look forward to contributing to this process.
