History and Structure

Healthcare Technology Division of National Health Systems Resource Center (a technical support institution under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India) works to provide technical support on Health Technology Policy and its interface with National Health Programs.


To ensure greater and equitable access to healthcare technologies.

How NHSRC works

Primarily the Division of Healthcare Technologies works in the following areas:

1. Framing of technical specifications for medical technologies procured under health programs
2. Work on supporting biomedical technology life cycle management models
3. Identification and uptake of medical technology innovations
4. Conducting health technology assessments and capacity building
5. Support to ministry of health in areas of technology policy, trade, technology infrastructure
