The first Global Forum of the new WHO Global Noncommunicable Disease Network (NCDnet)

The Action Plan for the Global Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases endorsed at the Sixty-first World Health Assembly by 193 Member States, specifically calls upon international advocates and partners, countries and WHO to promote partnerships for the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases.

The creation of the new Global Noncommunicable Disease Network ("NCDnet") will enable WHO to engage key stakeholders in concrete ways, addressing issues ranging from advocacy, to innovative resourcing mechanisms and including measuring and evaluating our progress along the way.
